CBC/SRC Association Picnic at Burnaby Central Railway on August 11, 2022.
Under a cloudless sky of summer sunshine, 34 adults and 24 children turned out at the railway location in Confederation Park to enjoy riding the miniature trains and a picnic lunch. The gigantic barbecue was put to good use by many, and an array of dishes from salads to desserts made for a fabulous potluck table for everyone including the train volunteers to partake of. Train Engineer Joe Holman (also our CBC/SRC Association President) provided a special treat to several of the children, giving them a chance to sit with him and drive an electric locomotive.
Those attending the outing included Ken & Deb Adams, Rick Cluff & Cecilia Warren, Lorna Haeber, Michael Ho, Joyce Janvier, Bruce Johnston, Rick & Elsi Kieran, Ken Mitchell, Caitlin Monument, Bill Murray, Mumtaz Nathu, Jim & Sharie Nelson, Bob & Mia Nixon, Ding & Marichu Torrijos and Alan Waterman – plus many adult family members and children.
